Stinker Poophead

My son has a fascination with our parakeet, Stinker Poophead. He loves to open the door to his cage and try to pet the bird. The other day, he hooked a kite string onto the door and tried to fly it like a kite! I normally don't care, but the little thing has not had its wings clipped in a while. Which means, every time the cage door opens, the little "Stinker" flies out. He does not stop there either. Once Jaxon lets him out, the night usually goes like this...

* Bird vacates cage and dives for living room.
* Bird tries to hide under couch.
* Darrel grabs the hat off of his head and tries to swoop the bird into it.
* Bird takes to flight, heading for the hallway.
* Bird abruptly decides to land in the computer room.
* Darrel cusses at bird.
* Darrel frantically grabs another hat, hoping to trap the little buggar between the two.
* Traci and Jaxon tag team all the other rooms in the house and shut their doors.
* Bird hides behind vinyl machine.
* Darrel cusses at bird.
* Bird gets spooked by the big hairy guy with multiple hats and hops under the bed.
* Sensing a human nearby, bird sneaks under computer desk, behind the entertainment center and in the closet.
* Darrel cusses at the bird.
* Bird poops in hat.
* Traci dodges the crazy bird flying at her and hits her head on the door jam.
* Darrel finally traps the bird in the dark, back corner of the hallway.

After experiencing this a few times, our neighbor came over and we clipped Stinker Poopheads wings. He is now flightless, sort of. He can fly little distances and only about a second, but he is now manageable. After playing barber with the bird, the neighbor kindly took our picture. Behold...
